My computer worked fine with and seems to works just fine with too. Don't know if i am just lucky or it's my older components that play well with win 10 and games. I have tried lots of games and they are all smooth. No stutter, no crashes, no problem at all so far. I do use the stand by fix set at 5 min, don't know if i need it tho.
Computer in sign. I've played Batman Arkham Knight last month, a title which I avoided specifically because it was so badly optimized that it collapsed the rating from on consoles to 70 on PC. The game is still an abject failure. Metro Exodus also is unable to run properly to this day, yet even that is still better than Batman. When they fuck up, and they do that more often than not, games just can't be salvaged. Exceptions are the games that are so stupidly done that you need to clean the standby, which you can fix with ISLC and similar tools.
No problem for me. I am quite sensitive for stuttering and uneven fps and such and i don't experience that in those games. Lest's see.. Hello, MSI afterburner can be very noticeable in performance, it's even explain in settings it could be guilty of "false positive" in fps drop, etc. I can confirm that if you completely remove Xbox stuff like gamebar etc, can improve a bit the performance in games, I made a modded iso with MSMG toolkit of and it's much better but unfortunately the stutters still happens but the OS performance is much much better.
I also made a bloatware-free driver of Nvidia with nvslimmer. Can confirm x does not fix stutter in games like Far Cry 5.
This is a windows problem and definitely a series graphics card problem. As the above poster said, eliminating ALL monitoring tools seems to alleviate some of the problems, but not being able to run a custom fan curve is painful. SuperTesla said: Lest's see.. Secondly, a Windows problem. The final step is ditching Nvidia all together. But naturally, it will take longer to fill up. No ,it is not a 10 series problem. I own a ti and borrowed my friend RTX ,and before ti i use RX ,in Far Cry 5 there is a slight stuttering ,it is not often tho,hardly noticeable for average people, cause my friend didn't notice it but i did i'm sensitive to this kind of things ,happen to all three GPUs.
Maybe its the game engine itself and windows managing the standby ram? It's definitely an engine thing, but on the whole my overall gaming experience hasn't been as smooth since windows and it's actually quite ridiculous. I am starting to think that most people don't notice it or don't care and that it literally exists to some degree on all nvidia systems.
I don't think Microsoft is actively working on a fix. Megaherzwasser said: yeah, frostbite suffers a lot from standby ram. Frostbite suffers from a lot more than that, its a terrible engine.

If its a specific driver issue, you might never see a fix. Not even stuttering, but big framedrops. Fully fixed by cleaning the standby. Engine specific, as usual. Developers need to start coding for this I guess, been years now. What is this and what purpose does it serve for me to install it? I was shocked at how well it played last night with those settings.
The fact that Microsoft has had this bug since is ridiculous.
